Doctor De Haro is a psychologist in the field of work and organizations, specialized in training based on results, talent identification and development, management based on competences, emotional intelligence,performance, recruitment selection and development. He has been working for more than thirty years, both for private companies (Agbar, Suez) as well as for public companies (INEM). He is also an expert in the area of human resources consulting (General Electric Plastics Spain, GP Hotels).
He has been lecturing at different universities and business schools: University of Murcia, University of Alicante, University Miguel Hernández, UNED, ENAE, COP, FUNDESEM, EEN Y UOC). He has been Honorary Fellow for the Department of Evolutionary Psychology and Didactics – University of Alicante, 2014 -present. Associate Lecturer for the Department of Psychiatry and Social Psychology .-University of Murcia. Associate Lecturer for the Department of Business Organization – University of Murcia, Instituto de Ciencias de la Educación (ICE) at the University of Alicante. Tutor Professor at the Faculty of Psychology – UNED, and Coordinator of the Faculty of Psychology (UNED. Cartagena, 1989 – 1991).
He is the author of more than 40 papers on Psychology and Human Resources, published in journals such as International Journal of Human Resources Management, Journal of Vocational Behaviour, Journal of Career Assessment, Annals of Psychology, International Journal of mentoring and Coaching, Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Papeles del Colegio de Psicólogos, Capital humano, Ansiedad y estrés, Training and development digest, International Journal of Community and Famliy medicine, Dirigir personas, Herramientas de coaching, Revista de Trabajo y Seguridad Social CEF, Herramientas, Civitas, UNED, edit. Pearson, Prentice Hall y Sanz y Roble,s among others,; and more than 50 contributions (posters and presentations) to national and international congresses, round tables, discussion sessions, and professional meetings on Psychology, Human Resources, and Health and Safety.
He is a member of the Editorial Board, as well as reviewer, of journals such as “International Journal of mentoring and Coaching”. Reviewer: Journal of Entrepreneurship and Organization Management, Annals of Psychology, International Journal of Human Resources Management”; and he has been involved in several research groups for international projects, too.
In 2004, he was awarded the AEDIPE HUMAN prize to INNOVATION IN HUMAN RESOURCES for the article: “¿Sabe alguien qué es una competencia?: de McClelland a la ISO 9000”. He has also been finalist for the prize Premio de Estudios Financieros, in 1995, for the paper: “El impacto económico de los programas de selección de personal: El cálculo de la utilidad”, as well as in 2009 for the paper: “¿Podemos predecir el talento?.
He is an executice coach, accredited as ACC by ICF, PEC ©, and MISCP Accred. (ISCP).
He was born in Cartagena (Murcia), and he currently lives in Alicante.
