Biography

Santiago Gutiérrez Broncano holds a PhD in Business Organization from the San Pablo CEU-Madrid University (2003), MDD in Business Management and Administration from the IADE-Autonomous University of Madrid (2005) and a Bachelor in Business Administration and Management from the University of Alcalá de Henares (1998).

He is currently a Professor of Business Organization of the Department of Business Administration in the University of Castilla-La Mancha in the Faculty of Social Sciences of Talavera. Before joining the University of Castilla-La Mancha, he was a professor at the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid and the Catholic University of Avila, where he has taught his degree and postgraduate courses in the area of Business Organization, teaching such subjects as Business, Human Resources Management and Strategic Management.

Since 2000, he has collaborated with different universities in different countries such as Catholic University of Santiago del Estero (Santiago del Estero, Argentina), South Bank University (London, United Kingdom), Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (Medellin, Colombia), Sergio Arboleda University (Bogotá, Colombia), Do Miño University (Portugal). He has given training courses to managers of different companies and collaborates periodically with institutions and business organizations.

His current research focuses on the development and improvement of the competitiveness of companies through the implementation of different strategies: internationalization of companies, corporate reputation, total quality management, high performance practices in personnel management or management of the family business. Professor Gutiérrez has publications in different journals with relevant impact index such as Frontiers in Psychology, Total Quality Management and Business Excellence, Business Research Quarterly or Universia Business Review among others, and book chapters in prestigious publishers such as Springer, Dyckinson or IGI Global. In 2010 he obtained an Access for his research work in the area of Human Resources by the Center for Financial Studies. And he has directed more than 12 doctoral theses.

He is a member of various associations such as the Scientific Association of Economics and Business Management and the International Medical Geology Association. And evaluator of national and international journals within the field of business management and personnel management.
